Subject:Call for Chapters - Child and Family-Serving Systems: A Compendium of Policy and Practice
Earlier this year, we shared that the Child Welfare League of America, in partnership with The Ohio State University College of Social Work, is developing a five-volume compendium of policy and practice about child- and family-serving systems. We distributed a survey to get input from child welfare professionals across the country about the content and learning modalities most relevant to them. Our survey received an incredible 268 responses! Thank you to those who provided their feedback – your input was critical to developing the outline for the compendium.
We are very excited to be sharing the next phase of this project - a Call for Chapters. We are seeking a wide range of perspectives on how to prepare child and family-serving professionals to be future-ready. The guide will explore innovative approaches to practice, critical policy analysis, and relevant research for the realities of work in child- and family-serving systems. We are especially interested in submissions that address one or more of the following themes: 1) racial equity, diversity, and inclusion; 2) sustainability; and 3) technology.
Instructions for submission and additional information can be found in the attached document. All abstracts must be submitted by June 30, 2020.
Thank you in advance for your interest in this important publication.
