Subject:CAC Book Call for Chapters

Dear Colleagues, Please find attached a call for chapters for a book on innovative practices in multi-agency responses to child abuse. The editors are particularly interested in chapters on new practices and research on Children’s Advocacy Centers, Children’s Houses (Barnahus), and other multi-agency responses to abuse. This edited volume will provide readers with an international perspective of efforts to improve the quality of investigations and responses to abuse through models that foster collaboration between disciplines and agencies. A more detailed summary of issues of interest are included in the call for papers (attached). The targeted audiences for this book are professionals, decision makers, and researchers, as well as university and college students. Contributions will be a maximum of 25 double-spaced pages, written in English. The text should be free of copyright restrictions. The book will be published by the University of Quebec Press. People interested in this project must submit a letter of intent detailing the following: * Tentative chapter title * Author’s names, titles, affiliations and a short bio * Nature of the submission, main themes, preliminary content, and references (between 600 and 700 words, before references) Queries and proposals must be sent to Annick St-Amand by email (Annick.St-Amand@uqtr.ca ) by September 30th, 2020.
